Abstract
Social work originated from the practice of helping others in Christianity. With the development of industrialization, social work gradually separated from Christianity, and the two still have a strong affinity. This article takes Q Church as an example to analyze the integration and difficulties of social work and Christian ministry services. Research suggests that church ministry unconsciously applies spiritual social work theory and case and group work methods in the process of helping others, and the two share similarities in theory, technology, and ethics. However, church ministry also has a tendency towards De theorization, and the application rate of social work assistance skills in church ministry is relatively low. There are also ethical dilemmas in church ministry, such as a dual relationship. Based on this, in order to promote the integration of social work and church ministry, we can start from the "asset based" theory, draw on relevant theoretical paradigms such as pastoralism, and vigorously develop social work paradigms that are in line with the concept of church ministry.
